How Are You Creative? Launches at INTER:CONNECT

Alaska State Council on the Arts’ 2018 Alaska Arts Convergence, INTER: CONNECT, was held in Fairbanks, Alaska, September 6-8, 2018.

This year’s conference explored how arts, culture and creativity activate networks and communities to move toward an innovative and inspired future for Alaska.  The conference agenda was developed so that participants would strengthen relationships and networks to support their work, exchange stories, ideas and knowledge about the value of arts and cultures in Alaska and discover and fortify practical skills and resources needed to do their work as individuals and groups. In line with these goals, How Are You Creative?, a statewide movement to align policy, weave networks, and increase involvement in Alaska’s arts and cultures, launched with a conference session and interactive booth.

How Are You Creative? is focused on developing an outlet to share the value of, and potential for, how creative experiences bringing people together; and discovering ways that teaching and learning in and through the arts and cultures in Alaska support individual, community, and statewide efforts to grow healthy, innovative, and resilient communities.
